The Tale of Murasaki: an Ancient Musical

This musical is based on the world's first modern novel, Murasaki Shikibu's Genji Monogatari ("The Tale of Genji"). It chronicles one woman's struggles as she dares to challenge history's most coveted emotion: from the joy felt from love at first sight to the pain 'til death does she part.

I play Murasaki and we recorded it at Sound Clash Studios in New York City.

Chasing Dragonflies: the Music of Jared Rehberg

Both Jared and I were adopted from Asia, as babies, by American families.  He found me online and contacted me about recording these two particular songs because they were musical collaborations he wrote with female artists and he wanted them in a woman's voice.  They mean a lot to me and I am really happy to give a voice to universal emotions like love, but that also have the specificity of an adopted child's perspective.

Twice Charmed: a Twist on the Cinderella Story

Barbie LIVE in Fairytopia

Broadway composers and lyricists Michael Weiner and Alan Zachary wrote a rich, beautiful score for an original musical, celebrating Disney's 50th Anniversay. I was lucky enough to be part of the original cast and record it in Toronto before boarding the Disney Magic to open the show.

Robbie Roth's bright, pop score is a little closer to Musical Theatre than the other Barbie compilations because they were written as part of a fully staged show. I originated the roles of Dandelion and Dahlia and we recorded it at Sony Studios in New York City.

Adultolescence: a Song Cycle

This compilation revolves around living in the city, pursuing a dream, trying to rectify your expectations with the world around you, politics, disillusionment, and finding your own truth. Composer Stephen Barnett is currently working on the second installment of the cycle.

While I sing harmony in all of the songs, I sing female lead on "In the Outside."

Live Recording

Here is a live, unedited recording of a new cut to a terrific, contemporary Musical Theater song by Kerrigan and Lowdermilk.

ADR Voice Over

This is a voice-over project I did for the practice and because I love this movie! Recreating my own version of these characters was a lot of fun and I hope I get the chance to do more work like this.
